Ed Cannon is a Real Estate Broker and 3rd generation General Contractor who grew up around the construction business. He has completed his Master’s in Business Management and is a DBA Candidate at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He is a Qualified General Engineering Contractor who has been in business since 1998 and built his first house in the Bay area at 1717 Chase St Oakland thru the city of Oakland and the UC Berkeley Contractors Program.
His grandfather, older brother Charles Garr, and James Williams, who became the first Black construction superintendent, worked for McGuire and Hester doing underground construction. He gained his General Engineering experience from May 2010-May to 2014 with the completion of a 15 Mil joint venture project with Westbay Builders and built the New Montclair School thru the Oakland Unified School District.
Ed completed 10 or more remodelling projects through the Oakland Unified School district from 2010 to 2014. He has walked on the shoulders of Giants and was trained by some of the best in the construction business, such as Robert( Bob ) Eddy, a General Engineering Contractor; Lee Jackson, a General Contractor; Robert Jackson, a General Contractor, and Mike Trisby a General Engineering Contractor.
